I have already been hunting on and off for over 50 years and largely used even the vertical bow, shotgun and the conventional rifle. I found a new fire and a new challenge once I was introduced to the traditional bow some time ago. Currently I should say here that I still intend to hunt with rifles, muzzleloaders and shotguns during the proper hunting seasons BUT I also plan to raise my time and ability with the traditional bows for sale. You see, I am not a purest in the sense of being a “Johnny one note” with regard to my hunting weaponry. traditional bows add a dimension to hunting rather different from the powder weapon strategy that is more conventional. It needs the development of new skills in handling, cocking and firing at different ranges with consistency. Additionally, it demands a more proficient approach to stalking and the utilization of blinds and stands. It’s perhaps more important to know the customs and habitat of your game target, since the range is significantly less in most instances.
There are an increasing number of states that allow traditional bow hunting during archery season and not only rifle season. This provides an excellent opportunity to extend your hunting season. An additional license is required by most states to hunt with traditional bows for sale but it’s worth the cost to experience the exhilaration of fitting your hunting skills at a closer range – and against the sensitive instincts of wild game. For those of you that live in a state that just allows traditional bow hunting during rifle seasons, why not add to the width of your hunting experience by utilizing the traditional bow also.
Not only has the growing use added a new dimension to the veteran hunter’s life but it has expanded the opportunity for the more elderly and physically disabled hunters to continue and to expand their years in the field. Perhaps this is the motive, as an aging hunter, I am so thrilled to be a portion of the traditional bow hunting “club”.
